Recently in PE..... In K-2 we have been learning about personal space and boundaries. The students always love playing Spaceship Tag, which helps them practice keeping personal space while moving around the gym. In 3-5 we have been learning about teamwork, communication, and cooperation. It is important to be able to work well with others and encourage each other while working toward a goal. The students had a blast working together playing Foam Ball Passover. Each team had to pass the ball using only their feet and move the ball from one end line to the other. If the ball is dropped at any time, the team has to go back and start over.
Recently in PE we have been working on the underhand toss in grades K, 1, and 2. There are 3 steps to remember when underhand tossing: Tick - Step - Toss. Students practiced underhand tossing to various targets and tossed different objects with a partner. Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 have been practicing their climbing wall skills. The students LOVE the Team Toss Challenge activity! Two teams compete to see which one can get all the objects tossed into the buckets in the least amount of time. The last round we did a boys vs. girls challenge and it was an intense game! Girls won! :)
